- Required Training: Merchant Marine Engineering Officer qualification or recognised equivalent

Requirements
- Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) for Second Engineer
- Previous experience as Second Engineer or similar on merchant vessels
- Updated STCW documentation
- Current seafarer medical certificate
- Proficiency in technical maritime English
Responsibilities
- Supervision of the engine department under the direction of the Chief Engineer
- Maintenance and operation of propulsion, electrical generation and auxiliary systems
- Compliance with preventive and corrective maintenance plans
- Management of spare parts and technical consumables inventory
- Supervision of engine officers and crew
- Compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL and company regulations

- Certificate of Competency (CoC)
- Complete STCW documentation
- Seafarer medical certificate
- Valid passport
- Seaman’s book
- Specialised certificates (according to company requirements)
