Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Third Deck Officer to join a container vessel operated by Vita Maritime Ltd. This position offers a competitive salary of 2900€ per month and is available with a flexible location. The contract type is a maritime contract, and the vessel type is a container ship.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 months of experience on the same type of vessel (container ship), of similar size, and in the same rank (Third Deck Officer)
- Only candidates with a stable maritime service history will be considered
- Required training: Merchant Marine Officer qualification or equivalent, with STCW certification
Responsibilities
- According to STCW, typical duties of a Third Deck Officer include: navigation watches, maintenance of deck equipment, supervision of loading/unloading operations, and safety and lifesaving responsibilities.
Required Documentation
- Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC)
- Updated personal documentation (passport, seafarer’s discharge book)
- Basic and advanced STCW certificates
- Medical certificates
