Description of the position and key functions: We are looking to fill the position of Third Engineer on board a Japanese-built Bulk Carrier. The engineer will be responsible for supervising machinery systems, ensuring preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as reporting and resolving technical incidents that may arise during navigation. Working in a mixed crew team will be essential for the smooth operation on board.
Requirements and qualifications: Previous experience in the sector, preferably on Bulk Carrier ships, is necessary for this position. Specific training in marine engineering and expertise in modern machinery systems will be valued. The ability to work in a multicultural environment and proficiency in technical English are key aspects.
Additional details: The joining date is set for May 20, 2025, with a contract duration of 5 months, plus an optional extension of one month. The vessel has a DWT of 38,000 and was built in 2020. The employment is at no cost to the candidate.
