Functions
- According to STCW, typical functions of a Third Engineer Officer include: supervision of the engine team, maintenance of machinery and systems, operation of propulsion and auxiliary equipment, compliance with safety and environmental procedures, and support to the Chief Engineer in the technical management of the vessel. On PSV DP2 vessels, specific experience in dynamic positioning systems and Azimuth propulsion is required.
