Requirements
Candidates must have at least 24 months of experience as a Captain on AHTS vessels with experience in platform manoeuvres and towing. Candidates from countries such as Azerbaijan, Brazil, Bulgaria, Colombia, Croatia, Egypt, Georgia, Honduras, India, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Mexico, Moldova, Myanmar, Poland, Romania, Russia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Tanzania, Turkey, Ukraine, Indonesia, Chile, Ghana, Slovenia, South Africa, and Cameroon are accepted.
Responsibilities
According to the STCW international convention, typical responsibilities of a Captain on an AHTS vessel include supervising all operations on board, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and equipment management, planning and executing towing and platform support manoeuvres, and ensuring the safety of the crew and cargo.
