Description of the position and key functions: A vacancy is open for the position of Ordinary Seaman on a general cargo ship with a gross tonnage of 5000 tons and a deadweight of 7800 tons, built in 2002 and under the flag of Palau. The main engine is a MAK 8M32C with 3800 KW and 5200 BHP. Responsibilities include carrying out basic maintenance tasks and operations on board, under the supervision of the more experienced team.
Requirements and qualifications: Ukrainian nationality. Maximum age of 48 years. 12 months of experience in the rank. COC STCW II/4 or II/5 competency certificates. Operational level of English. Valid documents: passport, seafarer’s book, COC, and STCW. Full vaccination.
Additional details: The joining date and place are scheduled for 26-27 July. The contract is for a duration of 5 months with the possibility of a 2-month extension. The trading area is worldwide.
